Dear Parent/Guardian:
ATTENTION: Current Active-Duty Military or Civilians Working on Base
Wheatland Union High School District is requesting your assistance in identifying federally connected students for our Impact Aid Federal Grant Program. Most of you are aware that Wheatland Union High School District receives funding from the Federal Government (Impact Aid) under Section 8002 for students whose parents/guardians live or work on federal property.
The purpose of Federal Impact Aid is to reimburse school districts for local property tax revenues lost due to certain properties being declared exempt from some federal action. Each qualifying survey completed translates into additional revenue for our school district.
The Impact Aid Program provides technical assistance and funds are considered general aid to our local educational agency. Our district may use the funds in accordance with local and state requirements.
Wheatland Union High School District is using the “Impact Aid Program Survey Form” to support our request for Impact Aid funds. For each Wheatland Union High School student in your household. Federal regulations require that the parent fill out pupil residence and parent employment information on the form. Please complete all sections of the Impact Aid Program Survey Form. Any information that you provide will be treated confidentially.
If you need additional information, please call Angi Conway at 530-633-3100 ext. 171 or aconway@wheatlandhigh.org.
Wheatland Union High School District appreciates your time and attention in completing the survey.
Educationally yours,
Nicole Newman, Ed.D.
Superintendent
