Wheatland Youth Football and Cheer (WYFC) association was organized to provide the youth of Wheatland and the surrounding areas an opportunity to play competitive full contact football and cheer in a supervised environment. We will strive to instill concepts of good sportsmanship and teamwork while building confidence, respect for self and ones opponent, and discipline. These valuable propositions are expected not only from players and cheerleaders, but also from parents, families, fans, and spectators. WYFC's goal is to develop and promote the ideals of responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, teamwork and fellowship within a safe and positive environment. These goals will be accomplished by providing structured programs designed to educate both participants and parents concerning the aspects of football and cheer as the programs related to the growth and development of the young adults involved in football and cheer. We serve the area of the Wheatland High School District, including Beale Air Force Base. Team colors are WHITE and ROYAL BLUE.
Wheatland Youth Football and Cheer (WYFC) has employed USA Football and the National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) to perform background screening on all coaches and adults volunteers (NCSI is the official background screening provider for the United States Olympic Committee). WYFC hope to provide a safety environment for players and cheerleaders by allowing NCSI to conduct background screenings for the WYFC - BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS FOR COACHES AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS |
