1. What is ParentCONNECTxp? Wheatland Union High School is pleased to introduce you to ParentCONNECTxp. ParentCONNECTxp is a web-based home-to-school collaboration tool that will allow you to examine up-to-date information on your child's grades, attendance, homework assignments, and more, all through a secure online link to school records. ParentCONNECTxp also makes it easy for parents and teachers to communicate via e-mail messages. You may choose to receive automated e-mail alerts if your child is tardy or missing an assignment, or receiving a failing grade. Throughout the school year, ParentCONNECTxp updates in the middle of the night. ParentCONNECTxp will always be ONE DAY BEHIND... today's absence will not appear until tomorrow. If you have a question about a grade, or notice a discrepancy, please use the e-mail link in ParentCONNECTxp to receive clarification on your question. At WUHS, we believe that collaboration and communication between home and school increases parental involvement, ultimately improving student achievement. To initially sign up for ParentCONNECTxp, go to WUHS' ParentCONNECTxp link. You will need to Register as a new user and enter some demographic information including the names and age levels of the children you would like to track. By law, you can ONLY view the information on YOUR child(ren). Within two business days after you Register, you will receive a welcome e-mail containing your username and password. If there is any problems with granting your request to register, someone from WUHS will contact you.
2. What are the requirements to be able to use ParentCONNECTxp at home? ParentCONNECTxp requires a browser and connection to the Internet. It will run on Windows, Macintosh, Linux, etc. with the following recommendations for your browser:
Other browsers should work with ParentCONNECTxp, but may not be tested. If you have a problem with another browser, please e-mail support@wheatlandhigh.org.
3. Do I need to sign up again this year if I had an account last year? Your student's information will transfer from one year to the next. You do NOT need to reenroll each year.
4. When I try to log in I get a screen that pops up that asks me if I want to accept the security certificate. Is this OK? YES. You should always accept the security certificate. Accepting ensures that you will have a secure connection between your computer and the school's server. If you are not prompted to accept a Security Certificate, set your Internet Explorer Security settings to their respective defaults.
5. How do I check on my child's current progress in his/her classes? Click on the Assignment tab, and then click Schedule. The current progress appears in the current grade column. It is suggested to teachers that they update their gradebooks weekly. For immediate concerns, contact the teacher directly.
6. Is there a way to see all assignments from one class grouped together? Yes. When viewing Assignments, click on the word Courses at the top of the column. This will sort all assignments by class instead of by Due Date.
