Wheatland is just 5-30 minutes away from some of the finest entertainment and sporting events available.  In addition, our geographic region is covered by local, Chico and Sacramento media outlets.  Use the links provided to find something for you and your family or friends to do tonight!!

Yuba-Sutter Tourism Board, operated by the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce, has an extensive overview of the events, entertainment, lodging, dining, and other services for our area.  Both the Appeal-Democrat Community Calendar and KUBA 1600AM's Local Events offer a very up-to-date list of events in the Yuba/Sutter area.  Also, check out Friday Night Live!! and the Marysville Youth and Civic Center for kids (grades 4-12).

RECREATION AREAS

Wheatland is centrally located for recreational activities. 

Eight miles east of town sets Camp Far West Lake with 2002 surface acres of water and 29 miles of shoreline. 153 campsites are available on 800 acres of open camping, horse, hiking & bike trails. Boat ramps are available for boating & skiing as well as the lake is stocked with bass, crappie and catfish for great fishing.

You can go Gold Panning!

Many ski resorts to the east are little more than a two hour drive away.

Beckwourth Riverfront Park - Marysville, 530-741-6644. Turn left on 14th Street off Highway 70 and go over the levee into park.
