Some teaching assignments may necessitate clothing more appropriate to that assignment (i.e.: PE). If a teacher is part time PE and part time in a regular classroom, she/he would be expected to abide by the dress code while in the classroom. She/he may; change when teaching PE.
Shop teachers usually wear overalls or coverings over their daily attire and, for safety purposes, some clothing such as ties may not be appropriate while using a saw or other dangerous equipment. When not working in a “shop” capacity, shop teachers will be expected to abide by the dress code.
Advisory activities such as the Giant Relay may also necessitate different
attire for staff
members participating in physical activities.
Classified staff, depending on their duties, (i.e.: custodians, grounds, maintenance) shall also abide by this dress code.
