Academic Decathlon

Academic Decathlon is a club that participates in a county-wide Academic Decathlon competition held each February. Nine individuals compete in ten academic events in a day-long competition. Students win medals for high scores in each event.

Christian Club

This club is open to all students who attend WHS. The club does a variety of activities throughout the year. One of the biggest events we do is “See You At The Flag Pole.” The club’s main interest is to help people to learn about Jesus Christ.

F.B.L.A.

Future Business Leaders of America is an organization designed for students who are looking to pursue careers in business, or have an interest in learning more about how businesses function. FBLA prepares students for “real world” professional experiences. Members compete in a variety of business-related events throughout the year that emphasize business-related skills. Members can also achieve scholarships for college. Enrollment in a business class is required for membership.

F.F.A.

This is the club for students in the agricultural education courses. The club encourages students to develop personal projects that build character and leadership responsibilities. Members will also have the opportunity to travel throughout the state as members of judging teams, see the major colleges and universities, and serve as officers of the club. The club's main interest is in developing community pride and having fun while learning about the amazing world of agricultural education.

F.N.L.

Friday Night Live is open to all students. FNL promotes drug- and alcohol-free activities and provides positive peer pressure for leading a drug-free lifestyle. The only rule: come straight, stay straight, and leave straight.  Please call the FNL office at 530-742-5483 with any questions.

Friday Night Live is a club where the focus is to promote healthy lifestyles free of alcohol, tobacco or other substances. If you would like to be part of FNL @ WHS or find out more information, please see Amy Molina-Jones Tuesdays or Fridays in D-3.

Are you ready for a challenge? Friday Night Live is looking for 11th or 12th grade students to mentor students at Bear River School. For additional information see Amy Molina-Jones Tuesdays or Fridays in D-3. Or sign up in the main office by October 27. Here are some reasons you should consider FNL mentoring…
 • Being introduced to the concept of volunteerism
 • Learning new skills, such as communication, conflict-resolution, team work, and active listening
 • Qualifying to earn community service hours
 • Engaging in a mutually beneficial relationship with a younger person.
 • Gaining skills for a future career.
 • Actively provide input in planning mentor sessions and activities
 • Earning experience that looks great on a resume for a job or college application
 • Being a positive role model.

The Friday Night Live Teen Center @ 301 4th Street in Marysville is now open every Saturday evening from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. The cost is $3.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members. Hang out with friends & meet new people. Questions call 742-5483.

Rifle Club (team)

Open to all students who attend WUHS. You must be willing to join the Lincoln Rifle Club ($15 annually), as that is where we practice. You do not have to have your own equipment or prior experience.
