ATTENTION WHS: Make sure to participate in TODAY'S (Friday, Sep. 3rd) lunch time activity on the quad! The student that drains the most baskets will be named this years first WHS Football Fan of the Week and wins their spot on the Fan of the Week couch in the football stadium with two friends of their choice. The winner will also have a large pizza and two liter soda delivered to them on the couch during the varsity game!

Student I.D. Cards: If you still need to have your picture taken for a student ID card or if you need a re-print of a card Mr. Shatswell will be available TODAY (Friday, Sep. 3rd) at lunch in Room C-10. If you purchased ASB for $20.00 and ASB does not appear in RED on your student body card you will need to show Mr. Shatswell a copy of your receipt and have the card reprinted. For FREE admission into all home sporting events you must show your student i.d. with ASB otherwise you will pay full price. Get used to having your student ID with you at all times it is a must. If you loose your student ID the cost is $5.00 for a replacement. Questions see Mrs. Embree in the main office.

Anime Club: If you are planning to go to SacAnime this Saturday, don't forget to sign-up in Mr. Shatswell's office (room C-10) at Break or Lunch today! Remember, you MUST have a signed parent permission slip to ride in the van!

P.E.O. STAR Scholarship. The P.E.O. Sisterhood is an international philanthropic educational organization that promotes educational opportunities for women through grants, loans and scholarships. The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide $2,500 scholarships to high school senior women attending an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the U.S. or Canada, full-time or part-time in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation. Applicant must exhibit excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics and potential for future success. Minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0.  Deadline: October 1, 2010.

Wendy's High School Heisman Award. This award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership. Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to seniors who have at least a “B” grade average, and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. More information is available at www.wendyheisman.com. Deadline: October 3, 2010.
