What is W.H.A.C.K.?

The Wheatland High Anime Club Kids... officially known as the WUHSD Anime Club... is a group of like-minded students that promote the advancement of Asian culture primarily through the medium of Japanese animation.  Open to all WUHS and ACE students, the Anime Club holds bi-weekly meetings, parties, and special workshops as well as attending many local/regional events, parades, and Anime conventions.  Read our club's Constitution and Bylaws (16K PDF).

Although not accessible from school, WHACK does have a MySpace page maintained by a few current members.  The intent of the MySpace page is for current and alumni club members to connect with each other online.  The views and opinions shared via any MySpace page are not sanctioned or endorsed by WUHSD or its staff.

JGuide
Started in 1994, the Stanford Guide to Japan Information Resources (or "JGuide") is a topically arranged directory of online information resources in and about Japan. Much of the focus is placed on resources about Japan in the English language, and visitors can use their search engine or dive right into their topical subheadings. These sections include "Society & Culture", "Law & Regulation", "Health & Medicine" and nine other areas (like Anime/Manga). Each resource is annotated, along with information about when the link was added to the site. The JGuide also contains a "Tools" area which features links to information about currency conversion, weather, news outlets, and other online gateways of note. The site also contains a link for users who wish to submit an online resource for potential inclusion in the JGuide.
